Gavin looked like his early season self tonight. Let's hope that continues.

Lamkin really grew up in the CWS this year. If you had told me our pitching was what got us to the championship series I would have laughed. Weiner did an incredible job with these kids

Never thought I would see A&M in this position in my lifetime. Schloss literally could ask for anything and get it

Tenner is a great hitting team. We’ve all seen very good pitching shut down very good hitting in all levels of baseball. More of the same vs Tenner. Absolutely have to have great pitching.

We can win those 4,5 run games. Tenner is going to win those 8,9+ run games. We have the pitching to beat them.

Good pitching and good defense and we will win.

Don’t worry I’m not watching these games either. I just check the score afterward. They really seem to play better if I don’t watch live. Will be with my grand baby anyway …

Pro tip: the baseball team's play is in no way affected by your TV watching decisions

It's the biggest moment in A&M athletics of the past 30 years, and the culmination of a great season that was made possible by a bunch of talented Aggies playing their asses off. I hope you watch the games this weekend, and use it as a growing moment where you learn how to enjoy watching the team compete, rather than wasting the opportunity in order to prove to yourself that you're the most important part of the story

I honestly won't have the opportunity. I'm going to visit my granddaughter, which is infinitely more important. I will spend all weekend with the baby and my daughter's family

Good luck fellas

Don’t actually hate Tennessee but most of their fans on this forum are absolute retards. We have a zillion titles and ended their football program in 2001 yet they still try and talk shite. I hope you’re reading this serrano you fat lard.

Gents, how are we pitching this one?

Prager threw Monday. Saturday is 5 days rest, Sunday is 6 days rest, & Sunday is 7 days rest (normal for college).

Lamkin threw Wednesday. Saturday is 3 days rest, Sunday is 4 days rest, & Sunday is 5 days rest. I don't think we see him in games 1 or 2.

Everyone else is 100% ready.

My guess:
Game 1 is the bullpen. Rudis may open (wild card is Wilson...just a feeling), Cortez gets the bulk, and Aschenbeck closes.

Game 2 is Prager with Stewie and Aschenbeck.

Game 3 is Lamkin and then everyone. Threw it all.

Agree with you. I wonder if he starts Jones Game 1 to see if he has something since he could give them some length if he does.

Maybe see Prager Saturday? Ace vs Ace. Depending on how Saturday goes maybe bullpen Sunday and Lamkin Monday. If we lose Saturday I think you gotta throw Lamkin on short rest Sunday and figure it out Monday.

Im also not against a bullpen day Saturday and Prager Sunday

I think we see Prager Saturday. He started game 1 vs Oregon and I can see Schloss doing the same thing again.

All things normal, he would start game 1. But we're guaranteed 2 games and he's only pitching one of them. I'd prefer him with more rest on Sunday.

Whatever it is, I expect them to be more like a 1-2 inning opener.

Rudis may open

Given his recent starting history, that's basically conceding game 1.

He's opened twice.

2 IP, 1 ER vs MSU
1.2 IP, 1 ER vs ARK

Not great, but acceptable. Hardly "conceding" anything.

Who would you start?

I wouldn’t be mad if we went like Jones to Rudis for game one. Short leash for both

Presser was today. I suspect the plan for game 1 is Prager, Cortez, Aschenbeck. Not dissimilar to the approach vs Oregon in game 1.
