He's racking up the Ks. That dinger was just a heartbreaker.

Yeah it was a great piece of hitting. Maybe bad luck isn’t right but he’s made very few mistakes and Duke’s capitalized on them.

Hope we have another late inning run in us

We're doing a shite job sequencing. 1 run on only on 7 hits.

Fresh meat. Freshman in a big moment. Lets ruin it for him.

This is the time where it would be great to have the Olsen home field crowd all over him.

I wonder how much gas Joz has left. He's creeping up on 100 pitches.

Don't worry. We'd NEVER do something like run right at a tag at home or stare at a catcher as he picks you off at 1st base...

Well boys, we had an okay run. I think we cashed in all our magic in game 1. Let’s do it again in a few months.

Call your shot. Which Regional do we get bounced from next season?

Joz pitched well. You can't ask for much more than that from him. He gave us a chance but we just did him no favors.

I think we were like 5 for 50 today with RISP. We had an insane number of LOB even with the 11 runs in the early game.

That # would've been higher too if we didn't get picked off, caught stealing, and whatever else we did.

Well that was the team we were all year; at least this morning was stupid and fun. I wouldn’t be against a change at this point, but I doubt we see one until after next year. Will be a sumlin-esque wasted year.

I wouldn't get my hopes up at any changes. Childress won't change a thing with his staff, we will bow out of a Regional with hopes of a decent follow-on year, etc ...

Clock Work. Only question left for the year is who do we lose to the draft?

hasn't he changed his staff 3 or 4 times already?

Just his NE pals - no really significant changes.

Look, it's okay - I'm part of the problem. As I get older, I find I care less and less. I check the A&M boards once or twice a day in the morning before starting work when on the road, and I find myself less and less inclined to watch crap coaches like Childress, in the hopes of a miracle or two as I did when young

I basically checked ESPN from time to time this weekend, and I spent time with my wife instead. I find myself as apathetic as I was in Sumlin's last years. I am looking forward to football (always), and basketball this year. But baseball is dead to me other than checking the App on my phone which lets me know the final score

I hope I'm wrong, and Childress exceeds expectations next year. But I doubt it

You're not part of the problem, you're normal. Once you're out of school for a while, unless you're a mega donor or someone who's able to attend games regularly, priorities shift a little. Sometimes a lot.

I still enjoy casually following the season, but I'm not going to act like they've ruined my day or broken my heart when I check in to see how they're doing from time to time.
