Sure! Why not?

When you are in this position it's a little annoying to lose the double elimination section suddenly but we still have Kilkenny/Kolek and a day off here so it's pretty hard to complain.

So IMO

National seeds
UF
Stanford
Arky
Oregon St
Tech
Stetson

Bubble
UGA
UNC
Clemson
Ole Miss

I don't think we'll see 4 from the SEC so Ole Miss probably is only fighting UGA for spot. If they come thru Auburn and us I think they'll get it.

Other hosts (after 2 left out above)
FSU
ECU
Minny (has a brand new stadium)
Tn Tech (and no I have no idea their stadium situation. Before this year I didn't know they existed)

Bubble
UConn
Auburn
Jacksonville
USF
NCSt
sips

My hunch right now is Uconn and Auburn grab the last two spots. The last 4 have geography against them as unlike UConn, there is no reason to reach for any.

I only include the sips because Kendall feels like the regular season champs of #2 RPI conference will get a host spot. Problem with that is Big 12 was only slightly ahead of AAC and Houston won that (and may win tourney too) but has no shot to host while ECU, UConn, and ECU all squarely in mix. Not sure winner of Big 12 special.

And ftr, I think Stetson is completely undeserving of a national seed. But I'm not suggesting who should be, but who I think they'll select.

Based on Resume Alone I would have these 5 Hosting along with the 2 national seeds bubble teams
FSU: 40-17 / RPI 10 / 18-11 vs T50
AUB: 39-20 / RPI 12 / 19-18 vs T50
ECU: 41-16 / RPI 13 / 8-11 vs T50

MIN: 38-13 / RPI 15 / 12-3 vs T50 **Big 10 Champs
NCS: 40-15 / RPI 18 / 9-7 vs T50

The final spot would be one of these. I am having a little bit of a hard time selecting one over A&M, but that is probably just my bias.
A&M: 39-19 / RPI 14 / 14-15 vs T50
JAX: 39-17 / RPI 16 / 2-7 vs T50
USF: 35-19-1 / RPI 17 / 10-12 vs T50
CON: 34-19-1 / RPI 19 / 10-8 vs T50
TNT: 47-7 / RPI 21 / 2-2 vs T50 **Ohio V Champs
tu: 37-20 / RPI 22 / 12-12 vs T50 **Big 12 Champs

I am going to go with a big fat no on hosting here for Tn Tech. The have to put in for another location.

Bush Stadium at Averitt Express Baseball Complex
Capacity 1,100

Also what tiny power allies Left-Center - 365 feet & Right-Center - 360 feet.

Moving on from hosting discussion. My biggest concern right now is tu getting a 16 seed, we get sent there, we beat their arse, and we end up stuck with Florida in the supers. I would much rather get sent to or have a regional paired up against TTU, Minny, Tn Tech, Stetson, UConn. I want to avoid the SEC and probably the ACC too. Maybe its a mistake, but OSU and Stanford don't scare me either at this point.

agreed, don't want to get stuck in Austin for the potential super match-up, much less all the weird crap that happens on that shithole of a field.

I think Tech may get the West coast pairing in UCLA for their 2 since we can't bus there and I don't think they'd force us there bc that's a really tough pairing for them as a National Seed.

I have no idea what to make of Tn Tech but I think Kentucky or Vandy is the more likely SEC rep there.

Stetson is a non-SEC/ACC school in central florida. Pretty low likelihood they don't have enough schools in area to fill that one.

UConn is also surprising full as only NE rep and they can bus ACC or B10 schools (as well as St Johns).

Minnesota will almost certainly have a traveling 2 so it fits us or the sips nicely.

I also think both West Coast national seeds are going to get traveling 2s as there is no one on that side of the country but UCLA that is a likely 2. Whither LBSU, Fullerton, SDSU, Pepperdine, UCSB? Man what a down year out west.

At this juncture, if the pitching continues like it did this week, we will be fine next week-wherever we are playing.

We won Houston as a 3 seed last year. I think we’ve good enough to win this one too. You know they’re pissed getting a top 25 type team in as a 3 seed.

I wanna know what happens if Aggies win and Tn Tech wins in Oxford? This year is setting up exactly like last year. Hope I didn't just jinx us!
