I think Rob Schneider is at least moderate.

37-19 now with an RPI up to 17. Even with only 13 conference wins we should be safely in. If we flip 2 games (even if its just 2 vs UT) in conference, I believe we're a regional host. It seems insane, but the value put on a couple conference games in ridiculous.

Tomorrow, 9:30 AM. We get the Dawgs. They're throwing a true freshman that has been pretty damn good. He's only made a few starts.

I think Lacy is the better candidate for that. We need arms out of the pen and Chafin is still that guy. Outside of Hoffman I don't trust anyone else.

Looks like we're mixing it up with Dox and not Trillkenny

KR on TA Radio

Look at A&M right now, 15 in the RPI and they are ahead of Minnesota and Texas who are projected hosts. You could compare them to Florida State last year, they win the last series of the year versus Louisville on the road and roll through the ACC Tournament and end up hosting. A&M doesn't really have a series like Louisville at the end of the year and their conference records is two games less than Florida State too. Say A&M beats Auburn and beat them again to advance to the championship, I would say that they could possibly host.

I think there is a near zero chance we host. The committee relies on RPI heavily but this year is going to be a challenge to do so.

We finished 6th in a 7 team division and have the 4th best RPI in that division. And we have pretty much no good series wins. Right or wrong, I just don't see the committee having the courage to give a host spot in that situation, RPI be damned.

I agree, but i wonder just how high we can get our RPI. We can get to 40 wins right? What if it gets top 10? If we get La Tech in the top 50, Long Beach in the top 100. That is going to but our top 50 wins at around 16-17 and top 100 wins at around 28. I feel like the regional host field is soft.

Totally agree host field is soft, especially as you see teams like the sips go 2 and q and play their way out of it. Think a couple of northern schools are sure to get spots in Minny and Tn Tech. And even if we beat Auburn and then say Ole Miss, we'd still only be about 12 in RPI.

Would definitely be a weird spot for the committee but close enough to bump us out imo. I'm pretty sure hosts are announced prior to the SEC championship so a coup de grace win over Arky/UF couldn't even be counted. So I think we've safely put ourselves on the 2 line and I don't see much room for movement either way from here.

Agree all around.

What’s Minny’s and Tn Tech’s home field situation? I haven’t looked it up.

So semi finals are nice. We might mess around and get a trophy.
