I don't. I'm just using logic here. I haven't seen his tape or anything either
- We've only offered about 10 in-state guys for 2017. There are usually ~35 four and five star guys in Texas.
- On early offers like this we've pretty consistently run way out in front of the rating services (you can chicken and egg that and I won't argue, but we haven't offered anyone this early that ended up 3*). OTOH, several guys we specifically passed on went in a ratings free fall at a later point (Hemphill for instance who was top 10 in state this time last year and 247 has dropped to #83 in Texas)
- And this guy got about 10 P5 offers in a month as a HS Junior, suggesting his tape just got out there
