Apparently, according to Kyle Allen and players, Tom Herman told the players that he wasn't leaving UH the night of the 26th. It will be interesting how this plays out with fans, players, recruits, and media if this is true.

No coach that was available was going to get you any higher. 3rd or 4th are realistic goals based on geography. 3rd or 4th is probably where A&M will end up going forward now that Ole Miss was busted for paying players.
We are essentially Auburn, which is quite a step up from where A&M was when they entered the conference. In 2011 A&M recruited on par with MSU (6th or 7th in the SECW). Auburn traditionally recruits well and then looks for JUCOs and Transfers (Cam Newton and Nick Fairley) to get over the hump.
Currently A&M is ranked 3rd in the SECW, #8 in the Nation by 247, and #9 composite.

We currently have 23 commits and are sitting at 235.14 points.
Here's where that score would land you over the last five classes (2012-2016):
2012 - 21st. (A&M was 16th with 245.27 points and only 19 commits)
2013 - 17th. (A&M was 9th with 267.79 points and 31 commits)
2014 - 20th. (A&M was 5th with 278.25 and 22 commits)
2015 - 20th. (A&M was 11th with 270.42 and 27 commits)
2016 - 21st. (A&M was 18th with 238.94 points and 21 commits)
Right now, of the teams ahead of us, only THREE have more than 20 commits and NONE have the full 25.
In contrast, six of the programs below us in the top 20 have fewer than 20 commits and only Tennessee (27) has more than we do.
