We were never seriously in it for Patterson. He visited for a JR day but he did that with a bunch of schools. He committed to Ole Miss almost a full year ahead of enrolling which was only 2 weeks after our JR Day. He never visited us again. And we moved on to Hurts and then decided we could pass on a QB after taking Hubes and getting a commit from Martell.
And since you seem to be unaware, Patterson didn't even enroll at IMG til he'd already been committed to Ole Miss for 6 months. By that point, Hubes had already enrolled and we weren't even in contact with him.
So the idea that we almost pulled him from IMG is absurd on several levels

I would think so. Hopefully we're done with the receiver position, unless they choose to drop Buckley.

Situation hasn't changed much, as far as I can tell. Both A&M and Auburn want him bad. He's been to Kyle Field 2 or 3 times this year. Mond, at least publicly, has said he's fine with Stidham committing in the same class.

He's redshirting this year, so 3 to play 3. Unless he is somehow able to petition the NCAA to get his redshirt year back due to the Baylor rape stuff

I don't think this year counts as a red shirt. I think he's playing scout team for some high school just to stay in shape.

Once the eligibility clock starts, it doesn't stop whether you play or don't play. He has 5 years of eligibility, beginning last year. So he'll be eligible 2017-2019 wherever he ends up.

I don't ever remembering this guy committing. I saw a video of him saying he committed, but I thought they reported shortly after that he needed to take care of things in the classroom first.

Actually he mentioned that the coaches contacted him today with news that his spot was no longer available. Apparently due to a certain DT foregoing the draft for another year.
There was some scuttle on Sip sites that Zaycoven might go early along with some of the other guys.

im so lost in recruiting, i gave up after the 2015 fiasco. is this guy better or worse than jayden peevy?
