I'm shocked Coach hasn't figured this out. Less than not shocked Will hasn't.
Infield fly rule was called and Melton is out. Choruby is not forced at 3rd and stepped off the bag and got tagged out.

Okay, Coach just clarified but it seemed really obvious to me what happened.
That's on Bolt. He's at 3rd and needs to know the rules. The umpire at 2nd clearly called infield fly.

yeah it would be interesting. But even if Choruby ignored him and was watching the ball, as the 3b coach you have to tell him to stay on the bag there. Choruby got tagged out walking to the dugout

we have always made a ton of dumb baserunning mistakes. It was a big complaint last year too. I like being aggressive but there is a fine line between aggressive and just dumb. Gideon's baserunning blunder earlier was just dumb

yeah it's pretty bad. It might be different if they were getting fooled by a LHP but this is just poor.
But I believe this is their first series of the year so their timing is probably off (not that it's a good excuse)

After he was already mistakenly called out on the force. It was a complete clown show by us, the umps, and Yale by missing that pop out.
