hold the fricking phone. I just noticed they are splitting sides of the bracket. Both UF and LSU/Rice winner play Sat-Mon.
So is the plan our Super winner plays day 1, and then they'd play day 2? If so, it's an extra day for us for the winner/losers bracket

That doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess the bottom half of our side gets a day of rest.

yeah, I don't think I've ever seen them do that before
On the interesting side, I notice we're the only game to be aired on ESPN. I'm a little surprised by that.
We also got picked ahead of LSU for the SECN regional. We must be pulling in pretty nice numbers to ESPN to keep pushing us ahead.

I especially like that the "Lightweight" wheels are so light that the bike floats in the picture.
Super-lightweight wheels are all the rage these days, but even when I was in shape (and much lighter) I could never have ridden on those things, speaking from experience. Even if somebody else was paying for them.
It's good to see Pinarello keeping up with the times with a carbon fiber frame. My first good bike was a Pinarello, steel of course, 30+ years ago. Great bike but a really harsh ride and ridiculously heavy by today's standards.

Holy arse pounding.
I don't know how some guys ride those titanium bikes. You feel every grain of sand on the road. Carbon fiber is so much more comfortable on the old kiester, especially going 70+ miles.
I can't afford that model in my sig. It's $13,500 and I need every penny of that to straighten my kids' teeth.
I'm like the guy who puts a picture of a Ferrari in his sig. Just wishful B.S.

Understood. And please don't take this the wrong way, but if you don't have the manufacturer giving your team a sweetheart deal and/or a team buying it for you, you don't really need it. IOW if you were fast enough to need it somebody would be buying it for you. And listen to the old fart carrying on... sorry about that.
Go pay for braces and be happy.

Take this bicycle nonsense out of our baseball thread. We're hosting a super for the first time in 17 years. Cheese and Rice.

Wow. So no TCU promo code this year eh?

Apparently the few tickets (SRO) released today at 10:00am were already gone by 9:58am.
Most were resold to those requested in near the end of the year (like me).

Baseball America - A&M v TCU Preview
quote:
Scouting Report
(anonymous coach breaks down the Aggies)
“Texas A&M is my favorite team in the league. It’s the best offense we played. They’re just so strong. Collectively, they have the most strength. You feel like you can’t breathe when you play them because they have multiple threats in their lineup one through six. You just don’t feel like you can breathe against them and then, by the way, they have like eight dudes that throw 94 (mph).
“They have so much stuff. They get to their eighth guy and here comes a guy throwing 91-93, touch 94 with a good slider. There are some real benefits to having that level of competition in your club. The teams I’ve had that are deep on the mound or have a proven bullpen are teams that play with so much confidence, and that’s where A&M is. They know they’re really good, and they play that way in a good way. They play with a real calmness because if they’re chasing two or three runs, they’re like, ‘We’re fine, we can score.’ And if they’re up two or three, they know they have a good bullpen. One knock is they’re pretty righthanded. They don’t have a lot of lefthanded pitching, if you’re trying to poke a hole.
“What (White) did in the league statistically this year is unheard of. He hit like .440 in SEC games. Just really good hand-eye coordination. Just a really, really tough out, and then he’s got the donkeys hitting behind him. He sets the table for the guys behind them.
“I can’t see them losing at home. It’s a tall order going into College Station and winning two out of three. It ain’t very fun. It’s a cool experience until the game starts and then it’s a bear. It’s a real advantage.”
