I think it is going to help when we start winning. 5-0 or 4-1 going into Bama is going to be huge. If we can knock them off I fully expect guys there semi wrote us off to be either at the game or scheduled to be at the next one they can be at.

I'm really out of the loop, cancelled my subscription to TA. Was tired of pre-season reporting that convinced me we were going to win the natty and sign a top 3 class

Not sure, but clearly our on the field performance is a big driver.
We win 9 games and show improvement on D, I think we'll see a boost in interest from a number of players

No doubt. I'm not as concerned as many about our class. We knew this time would come when we would have to prove it on the field again post Manziel and I think we will.
If we don't then our 16 recruiting class is a secondary concern

LSU commit Dee Anderson is a pretty special player but yikes...Neill is the WM head coach who booted him after a fight with his son. This is statement from UIL hearing on whether Anderson should be eligible this year at Desoto (vote ended up 4-0 to deny him transfer)
Our eval process includes in depth interviews with HS coaches and when you hear a HS coach say something like this, it's pretty clear why we stopped recruiting him. I'm actually surprised Miles hasn't dropped him. He's good but it's not like they can't get a similar talent elsewhere without the issues

Shag posters have been talking all summer about how they have a good chance to flip Anderson from LSU. Wonder if any of that information will change their toon, or, if they think Charlie's 5 core values will straighten him out.
