There was a stretch of 4-5 consecutive pages on the OT thread with downvotes for every post

So who's committing today?
Probably another 3-star who has just been overlooked

I saw on TA in the Speights update he said they showed him a lot of stuff with two back sets also. It might not happen this year because we don't quite have the personnel at TE yet but I think they want to move to more power sets down the road with how we are recruiting TE

The hiring of Christensen is really just the continuing evolution of something that we've been wanting to do but have lacked the personnel. Basically since Sumlin arrived, we've really struggled running the ball, especially in short yardage. Johnny hid it by using his feet but that's not really a long term solution and it obviously bit us last year when 4th and 1 basically became a passing down.
We honestly ran a lot of 2-back sets last year but we used Caden Smith and then Ben Compton in the H-Back role. Sumlin/Spav built a package for Clear and that was part of it. Unfortunately Clear got hurt and he lacked desire when he did play. But there is a reason why we recruited Davis and now Holcombe/Smith.
Having those 3 will open up a lot more looks. Being forced to use OL in the backfield in a heavy package has really limited the versatility of it.

Who do you view as must gets in this class?

Eric Monroe tweeted he's going to commit before the opening, maybe today.

That's sounds no bueno. I thought we led for him a couple of months ago?

Yeah this one actually hurts. They've been hurting the Longhorns more than us, but Monroe stings.

Chances are we probably have a different definition of "must have." To me, must have means you are void at a particular spot in order to achieve your goals for the next season.
Based on my definition there isn't any that isn't already committed. I think we needed a couple of corners. We got 2 guys off the top of our board plus a transfer. We needed a TE or maybe 2. We got 2 elite ones. We needed to fill the OL pipeline. Success. We needed a kicker. We took the best in the nation.
Everyone else we are taking we're doing so because we want them, not because we need them (at least not immediately). We can go without a QB, without a RB (esp with Ford), without a WR (Holmes is our only senior). We can go without a DE or DT (Obioha and Williams are only SRs), without a LB (we have no SRs), without a safety (we have no SRs).
We've successfully built a roster that if we added no one else between now and the 2016 season, I fully expect we will compete for the West (and more). Everyone we take this year is supplemental for 2016 and if we strike out we get another shot next year to fill the hole for 2017.
