Kids been climbing up the ranking super fast. Good job by Chavis. He won MVP recently at a camp and is going to climb the rest of the year probably.
Nailed Charles Oliver too

I'm in interested in the McCulloch article on 247. The title says he and Chavis are forming a strong bond. Unfortunately I don't have prem so I can't read the rest

He didn't even know Chavis was coaching lb's lol. He may be back next weekend as well if his brother comes to the camp. We're improving our standing with him but we were still quite a ways back I think.
We offered 4 wide receivers today.
We had a blinn DB workout but he didn't get an offer yet.
McCann the arky DT is probably going to get an offer soon.
lots of moving parts and we'll know a lot more in the next few days, and next week.

Another YESSIR.
WR Kendrick Rogers
6'4" 185 from Frankston, TX
With that frame, he can definitely add some weight.

His recruiting offer list is the definition of meh. Not to be a downer and not that it means anything, might be a great recruit. Just kinda surprising the first WR in this class is so un-elite by offers.

Don't care about offers

I think he ends up a 4*. Huge frame, good hands/high point ability.
Supposedly ran a 4.5 at camp yesterday. Long strider will chew up a lot of yards and not look fast.
AMO ought to get a lot out of this kid.
Plenty of time for him to add film and offers, remember frank iheanacho didn't get any attention until LATE LATE in his senior year.
Staff has been really confident in their evaluations this cycle, don't be surprised to see some kids rise in the rankings going forward.
Look at what happened to Charles Oliver.

Austin had camp the same day as ours and the turnout was apparently pretty embarrassing.

I'm freaking fascinated by this recruiting cycle.
Yes, definitely some of what we are seeing is early recruiting finally dying down and "bigger" recruits taking a "wait-and-see" approach to A&M especially...
BUT
It also seems like our staff is super-confident in their evacuations for some reason. Instead of waiting to backfill with 3* guys, they seem to be "calling their shot" and going in early on 3* guys they are betting are tomorrow's 4*. When coaches backfill with 3* it is an oh shite move. When they go find those guys on purpose and sign them somewhat early in the process? It's by design for some reason.
I'm no expert but it seems to me like an entirely new strategy for us. I'm not close to the program whatsoever, so I don't know the genesis of it, but I wish I did.
You guys think it's a tactic of Sumlin's or something Christensen and Moorehead influenced?
