I thought I read where Sumlin said the kid from Florida that signed yesterday could kick and punt. But I might be in error on that.
Anyway, for that reason I am surprised to see him taking another kicker / punter for next year. I guess he doesn't want to be locked into just one guy who starts missing kicks, like what happened a couple years ago.

Pretty sure our 2015 class was ranked #1 as of last February too

While it is hard to get jazzed about a kicker, after the 2012 season I will never take a good one for granted ever again.

This is two combo kickers, two years in a row. I'm not sure what it means or how to feel about it.

It's a solid add. Both of our Kicker and Punter are Srs and our new guy is also a combo. You DO NOT want to be stuck in a situation without a reliable kicker, easiest way to lose a couple of games.

Kicker is underrated until you have a shitty one.
Lambo was responsible for 98 points last year (equivalent to 16.3 touchdowns @ 6pt per td). Only Hill and Allen were responsible for more.

"Points responsible for" always skews towards kickers, but I agree it's def something we've been spoiled with having lambo

Totally. Notice how much less people talked about Lambo than his predecessor?
At first it seemed odd to me that we'd offer kickers two years in a row, but it makes sense that we expect our offense to score a lot, the kickers will be working more.

I'm ecstatic. Having a kicker that's money in the bank is always a huge asset. Offense ain't gonna get 6 every time out.

Our offensive scheme also gives us a few more opportunities for quick 3 and outs each game. need a strong punter will help compensate for that

I think so. I think Brandon jones is who we think we can move to corner. I can be totally wrong though
