I can't wait to see what Bert eventually has to say about it. You know he'll make some sort of reference to it eventually. Dude hates UTw and has clowned the fook outta them before.

You don't? It was 100% Verne Troyer. ALL he's doing right now is negative recruiting. That's his only play. It's not working against Baylor and TCU and OU because they're doing okay. It's found some purchase against us, because Sumlin is an idiot who has driven us into a ditch. What's more negative recruiting and more fitting with his whole "silent commit" gambit than sending your recruits out to try to recruit guys on other campuses? It fits his modus operandi perfectly, plus we know he's 1) desperate and 2) dumb enough to try.

Like I said yesterday, that conversation was bleak. Always gave a hint A&M might have a chance, but that last conversation was completely different.
May have had to with sour grapes about being called out, I dunno.

Let em' talk. If we close how we think (that's including Brandon) A&M will still finish ahead of texas. It'll be fun to see how they spin it. I'm sure rivals will go into full defcon mode bumping player ratings.

I love it. It totally, 100%, full stop, destroys his reputation with other coaches at two of the schools in his region. Coaching is a fraternity. Typically even rivals have respect for each other and don't hate one another like the fans do. It's not great to have outright enemies among fellow coaches. There will not be any back-watching for him. If he has any chinks in his armor there are two guys who will expose him for it now, whereas before they probably would've practiced discretion.
