Latest TA report basically says hopefully A&M doesn't lose any more commits & that we may land Pennamon, Christmas-Giles, & Quartney Davis. Everyone else is leaning somewhere else it seems.

I have little faith in that

Isn't Greedy coming back with his brother this weekend?

Hansford sounded fairly positive as well but overall not good

So we didn't get a single commitment?
WOW
We are screwed.
This is what Sumlin hath wrought. Should have fired the loser.

Shake it off, they all silently committed and are working on flipping other guys for us all week *sip logic*

I half think we did it to ourselves. If we would have round the wagons when the QBs left and had our media guys put hit pieces on them instead of the coaches then I have to think we would be doing better in recruiting right now. The problem boosters shouldn't have started trouble until they had a Herman in their back pocket, pushing to fire a guy without a solid replacement is how you blow off your foot.
Perception is reality and the Texas media has created a perception that 5 win Charlie (and his never been OC) is a safer boat. All of this is just growing pains as we try to grow from being a middle of the pack program to something bigger, but we need to figure it out soon because if OU can find a way to cut the OSU bait and get to the SEC our window to grow the program shuts like a bear trap.

No one expected a commitment his weekend. Every single one of these remaining guys has said they will make their decision public on signing day.

WTF? This is Sumlin's fault, PERIOD.
Sumlin terribly mismanaged the QB situation, has been distant and uninvolved, has sought-out NFL jobs every off-season instead of caring about the team, and kept Spav on LONG after it was obvious to everyone that he was in over his head.
The fans didn't do any of that.
I have declared e-jihad against Sumlin. He's taken a $500MM+ investment in the program and done zilch with it. Utter failure. Pathetic loser.

Thanks for the info. That would be a pretty great class in my opinion. It would presently put us right outside of the top 10. We all want better, but that is solid. I would just hope that we get some additional adds. I am tired of this staff leaving scholarships on the table every year.
I did see on numbers that Jackson added A&M commit back to his twitter handle! Travon Fuller also said that he believes we get Aaron Hansford (4-star OLB).

I don't think anyone knows where Brandon Jones is heading, but we are likely going to miss on Cuffe, McCulloch, any LSU flips, etc.
That being said, it's not nearly as bad as some of you would like to think it is.
We still have some fair interest in that linebacker from DC, who is a comparable talent to McCulloch. We may also have another OL commit which would be excellent. Keep all our current commitments. No signing day flips is a key for perception going forward.
You guys are melting over 3 guys going to Texas. It's really no different than Boyd/Malik last year. Some guys are just going to go there. We aren't winning all the battles anymore. We will still win most. They still have no offensive talent coming in. Their head coach is basically getting some of our defensive targets each year, but it's not like their doing the same on the offensive side of the ball.
I wish our class were better, but we should be able to salvage it into a respectable class with a lot of talent to fill the depth chart. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Texas, on the other hand, has managed to put top priority on several of our remaining commitments in attempt to destroy our perception further. At the same time, however, they have lost commitments and will be absolutely screwed this coming year. Meanwhile, each year we are recruiting more successfully nationally. We have interest from several out of state prospects and have several from the boot.
Sure we aren't where I want us to be, but we aren't doing as bad as some of you bleeders would like to think either. Man up

Cooter - you might want to sit out the recruiting season. No one expected a commitment this weekend - we were hosting for the most part guys who were already committed to us or guys committed to other programs.
we got a 2017 commitment from a damn good player at a need position (DB).

Loochs thoughts on Cuffee
quote:
Waco CB Eric Cuffee: I'm going to be perfectly honest here — if I'm Texas A&M, I'm cancelling Cuffee's official visit. The Waco corner was scheduled to give Aggieland one more look next weekend. Not only do all signs point to Texas for the longtime silent Aggie pledge, but the weekend rumor mill was swirling with news that Cuffee was nearly sent home from his official visit to Arkansas because he was recruiting for Texas while in Fayetteville. That had to be pretty frustrating for Bret Bielema — a head coach who held Charlie Strong's squad to less than 60 yards of offense just over a year ago — but I digress. The A&M coaching staff has enough ground to make up with several remaining targets that they don't need anyone on campus working against them in the final days before NSD.
