The recruiting services are really focused on measureables, because well, they can be measured. The quality of coaching, production, competition and QB play is all over the map for these WRs.
The thing you can't know is how the kid will respond to a big jump in level of competition. Some thrive on it, some don't have the inner drive. That's why recruiting is a semi-random game. These aren't robots, there is some luck involved here.

I doubt it's that big a deal. Might actually help, since now Sumlin will be forced to admit we need a 2016 QB.

This could only be seen as positive. We knew one of the QBs wouldn't be returning. Maybe Murray will hit the phones and start recruiting for himself. Maybe he can get Greg Little to pick up the phone.

Staff better be working overtime to evaluate QBs. Just can't risk going into 2016 with only 2. I think we recruited Knight & Hansen before they went to OU. I think those two would be available for the spring.
Assuming Murray plays baseball in the spring, they will get a good look at Hubenak.
That may be the best option at that position. Will be tough to flip someone this late in the game.

Buga says LSU is trying to get Knight down to BR. Could be an interesting transfer battle.

I would like Knight, but I doubt he comes to A&M. He felt pretty upset the first time A&M passed him up for Matt Davis.

The way I recall, A&M didn't pass up Trevor for Matt. We were fine with taking 2, but Trevor decided to run away from a competition with Mr. Aggswagg

It's all fine and dandy for us to speculate on 2016 QBs. Because it seems like we need another option there for 2016. But are there any credible reports out there that the staff has made any overtures to one?
