Actions speak louder than words. OV are one thing, everyone loved free trips. Paying your own way to visit again within a month speaks volumes.

Jones might reason that both starting CBs (Williams & Harris) are seniors, so might have a better chance of seeing the field sooner at that position.

Really perplexing that a local boy seems so cold on USC & UCLA. But every year it seems like some Texas kid we're recruiting decides the West Coast is for him. I guess this works for us & against us sometimes.

CA football is not like TX football. It's not religion over there for most folks unless they actually went the schools. They have huge fanbases but they are mostly fair-weather and don't follow football like we do.

I mean, it's the third sport in some parts of the state and is basically behind baseball everywhere

People in California would rather watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians than an amateur game of American football

Is Kellen Diesch still making an official this weekend? Didn't see him on the list posted on the previous page.

Yes, he is.

Randy Moss' son, the TE from NC, is also taking an OV this weekend

Sweet. We seemed to have moved quickly on Moss.

He's got an impressive offer list, so kudos to the staff for snagging one of his OVs

So we currently have one TE committed and barely use the one we already have on the roster, Jordan Davis. But the staff wants another TE to replace Holcombe.

I'm surprised the staff seems to be all about signing two at that position when it seems to be an afterthought in our offense. Davis caught a TD pass vs. Miss State, and has been a non-factor since.

Recruiting him will be all about his hypothetical role, since there isn't much to observe.

Our offense is in the middle of a transition and we don't have the personnel to do what we want. Jordan Davis is a true freshman.

Think about all the times kaden smith is on the field, now picture Irvin smith in that role.

If Irvin Smith is seen as a blocking TE, I can definitely see his role by observing what we're doing with Kaden Smith.

I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that Moss is more of a receiving TE, based on what I've seen out of his dad. If he is a receiving TE, the staff might have their work cut out for them. Because I'll be shocked if Davis is a factor against Auburn or anybody else this year.

I'll be watching this position a little closer from here on out.

And we'll almost assuredly have a new OC next year, so it would be wise to keep our options open by building a well rounded roster. TE recruiting has been a joke since we signed Martellus.

Hamm is insinuating today could be a big day in trayveon Williams recruiting.

Whaley & Speights are both OV this weekend. Whoever wants the spot needs to make their move. I'm not so sure it'll be there next week.
