I've seen quotes from Weathersby that he hadn't heard from A&M in a while. Couple that with other quotes that he is a bit concerned about our depth chart, and we may have decided that he was probably going to go elsewhere. While he was high on our list, we knew we were going to bring in quite a few players who can play OT. If Weathersby was concerned about competition now, he was only going to get more worried in the future.
If that's the case, it's still a H2H win for the horns, but we've always known that UTx was going to get good players. Just too many in the state for them not to, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

If we still fail to utilize the TE/H-back position this year, with both Clear and even RSJ possibly logging time there, I don't know that we ever will use it. I think at a minimum, we're going to target Clear a lot more. If he makes the catches, great. If he doesn't, well, we can tell Davis he as a pass catching TE is the missing link.

Last summer, I remember Kevin Sumlin just raving about landing Cam Clear... then after our season ended it was probably the second biggest disappointing thing outside of our entire defensive unit the way he was utilized. It really compared to another colossial f up at TE in Martellus Bennett during the Fran years.
If Jordan Davis is "wavering and 're-evaluating" can you really blame him? I really think Spavital is changing all of that though. Esp when you're hearing in springball that they're sticking RSJ there a little bit.

Not really. Weve had a few people coming through to visit practice but nothing really worth talking about. We had CJ Morgan and kameron eloph come through the other day and they seemed to like what they saw

interesting. I was told Will Sunderland would likely be our next safety offer. I think he's originally from Lufkin btw. Maybe we're waiting for clarity sort of like the Lane situation.
