To be fair the reason the SEC is a rocketpack is due to the success of LSU, UF, Bama, and Auburn. We are basically leveraging their success for our benefit.
I am all about that and have been since 2010, (and they get something in return come SECN time) but those teams deserve the boost way more than we do.
And honestly that kind of victory is ALMOST sweeter. The now classic "but but but A&M had same regular season record as us, why do 18 year olds only like them?" melt is going in the hall of fame next to "But I thought we were Texas!" "Colt would have won the game" " Vince deserved the trophy" and "I thought the Big 12 was getting upgrades!"
I mean, can sip hypocrisy get any better than "well you didn't EARN your success!!!"?

Here's another interview with Christian Kirk. He doesn't say anything unique but I just can't help but be impressed at how comfortable he is being interviewed as a high school JR.
Makes me think of Kyle Allen last year. And actually Qualen is an excellent interview. Maybe they have media training in AZ high schools

No joke. I think the only real prospect is going to be Braylon Jones in 16. I have the time today I am going to look at some TJC kids and see if they will get any offers.

It's really strange. Back in the 90s, JT and Lee were cranking out prospects. Like 3-4 BCS level guys per year. It's slowly tapered off to the point that a guy from Tyler is just rare.

Rockwall-Heath S Deshon Elliot will be shutting it down today. All indications are he is going to pick the sips.
And so it appears we will finally see our first head to head win by them in the '15 class and the first overall for Strong. Looking forward to the chest thumping and the trolling

and on a somewhat related note, not sure where it should go though I didn't want to bump his thread. Was told S Kam Miles is likely to end up at TVCC next year which would enable him to go anywhere he wants without sitting out after.
Interesting thing is he was committed to UT for almost a year before we flipped him so it wouldn't be shocking to see him take reverse path of Cam Clear.

So, what exactly happened with Rivals? Anyone know? Near as I can tell from reading thread titles, Jeff Tarpley is moving to 247 on April 1st. Is that it or is there more?

Guess that announcement was delayed only a few hours as DeShon Elliot committed to the sips just now..
