Looch just updated, coaches feel very positive about Kyler. Coaches talking to Kyler daily. Fans are probably way more worried than needed at this point. The thing is not over, but the sips have no reason to be overconfident and may come down to Sumlin's visit or later. Little is still a firm Aggie committ and nothing has changed for him. All recruits are having a great visit.
And remember, KYLER is STILL AN AGGIE COMMITT

One thing I've noticed is that Looch is usually more positive than Hamm/Perroni. Hamm talks about bad body language, and Looch refutes it by saying "don't believe everything you hear, it was actually positive, productive, etc."
I know that Looch is supposedly the biggest sunshine pumper, but it's just funny seeing how the exact same situation can be construed in two different ways.

1 WR (lodge or merrit)
1 RB (bussey or warren)
1-2 CB (boyd, hill, SHEF and/or martin)
0-1 DL (mack or no one?)
0-1 LB (smith)
0-1 OL (helms)
So it looks like Bussey is in. It is just a matter of time. Reports are that Boyd's visit went very well. He should be in now just beat tu for Hill or flip Shef from Bama.
Sounds like no OL is happening since Helms doesn't want to enroll early.
The Kyler front seems like its not as bad as we all thought so that should really help with Lodge & Mack.
According to the 247 calc, if I add Lodge, Mack, Bussey, & Boyd we move up to #4 if everything else stays the same. And just for fun, you throw in Shef too we'd move to 2nd.

I get Kyler looking around as we had some troubling issues this year and this is an important decision for him. But I don't get the interest in Texas. Their OL is absolutely horrible and will be for at least another 2 years, which is a real issue for a 5'10 180lbs QB that would probably be starting the first game. Plus, they run a much different scheme than he's used to and they're doing so with an offensive coaching staff that isn't very good. I mean it doesn't take a genius to see that he'd get the crap beaten out of him in Austin and that he'd also suffer through some growing pains.

Going to get very interesting now that Gentry has flipped to Michigan. If the sips can't convince Murray they are in a pathetic situation as they don't really have a competent QB on their roster.
Without Murray they are in a horrible spot now. (which I am fine with).
They may have to dust off the wishbone.

What I want to know is what is going through the heads of the QBs on campus. I would be pissed and looking to transfer regardless of what ends up happening. My pride wouldn't let me play for Strong again. And I would do it while throwing every tu coach under the bus on my way out.

They have offered to switch the entire offense to the spread HUNH IF Kyler comes to play for them
That is part if the sales pitch chuckles gave Kevin and Kyler apparently

The best scenario would be if Charlie could win just enough to stay there for another 3 years. As much as I love tu & horrible spot, a disastrous 2015 season might be enough to get rid of the man whom we so love to watch run that program.

Wow, Larry Pryor says Hill and Boyd are a package deal, and Boyd is the leader. If we get Boyd, we get Hill.

You're kidding, right? Not even Fran did crap like that
Honestly, it's probably better for them in the long run, as the grand majority of the recruits in Texas are running HUNH spread offenses, and Strong can't rely on a talent 4 states away, but offering to switch everything for 1 kid is still ridiculous and sets a horrible precedent. Plus, Strong has no background with it and it goes against his entire football philosophy; installing and implementing a new offense isn't as easy turning on the kitchen light.
This reminds me of Tuberville (at Auburn) announcing a switch to a spread offense and hiring Tony Franklin at the end of one season, and then firing him 5 or 6 games into the next season (Franklin's 1st with the team!) and scrapping the whole spread experiment.
Sherman, who for all his failings as a play caller and team "emotion" manager, had a great head for designing and coaching schematics didn't even try this sort of thing. He talked with numerous Texas high school coaches and pored over their playbooks and then inserted some of their concepts and formations into his pro-style system. But he didn't try to switch to a spread overnight.

I agree with that. If they are reading all of the different message boards and assuming this is truly what the coaches are saying and thinking, then it could be a real issue.

Yea James basically said the same thing to BP

I heard that somewhere but I didn't hear to the HUNH.
That would be a stretch because of the type of defense Charlie prefers.
Are they changing the offense? They better be saying that after last year and the Hog debacle.

Just posted on the zoo by someone that claims to have hung out with players and recruits this weekend
quote:
So I had quite a bit of interaction with current and incoming players. Christian Kirk might be one of the coolest dudes I've ever met. He was very friendly and he is more than estatic to be here. James Lockhart is huge. Like huge. He said "I'm looking forward to competing with Myles". So he has his eyes competing. He always said he wishes he enrolled early. Ledwik implied things are opening up and there will be some good competition for OLine positions this spring. Kris Boyd said he was coming to A&M. I understand he is flaky. But he didn't really mince words. He said there was nothing like A&M. Overall all of the guys seem in high spirits and looking forward to the upcoming opportunities.

I'm not saying they don't end up at the same school, but that they are a package deal seems like a stretch.

Bussey left uncommitted but is expected to go back home, talk to his dad (who couldn't make the trip), and likely make a final decision later tonight or in the next 24-48 hours. A&M feels very confident a flip will occur. The Busseys want to make sure they respect the process and Tennessee if they do decide to flip. That means calling the Vol staff and formally letting them know about the news and then calling Coach Sumlin.

Lockhart said the same thing about the duo. I think it's probably more accurate to say that they want to play together, plan on playing together, they like both A&M and tu, and Holton will probably follow Kris.

I wanted to add two more corners to this class, but I was still crossing my fingers one of them would be Sheffield. However, I'll take any of the three that are ready to commit! Can't wait to see what Chief and company do with these guys!!
