You know what fixes all this shite in the future? Winning something. All we have to do is win with the guys we have and the good players will come. Honestly idgaf what the whorns are doing we don't play them anymore and there are enough kids to go around. We need to get some of the in state talent but we need to start (well continue) to recruit nationally on a larger scale.

We need to come up with a contingency plan for when this happens, I don't want to see another 12/19 on the rant (I was a huge part of that melt).

I say we photoshop pics of Speedy Noil smoking joints in various parts of College Station.

Bingo.

That needs to start ASAP.

And? We're in the exact same situation we are in now, with Chavis and without Malik.

Sumlin had little to lose by just throwing a name out there.

We're in the same situation, except Sumlin has been outed as someone willing to tell a bald-faced lie.

It's one thing to presume all coaches B.S. It's another to find proof.

You are correct. I'm still convinced we can close out this class with Boyd, Merritt, Bussey, and Sheffield. As long as KA stays healthy, 2015 could be a bomb year.

I mean, we have proof of Saban trap-dooring recruits and Meyer lying about the reason for leaving Florida. Doesn't seem to be hurting them.

Is there a decent three star QB we could flip? Call me greedy, but I'd prefer having two scholarship players at the QB position.

Contingency plan? How about the staff stop telling guys "you're the only one we're recruiting"?

Virgil comes to mind. Hubenak, the Blinn QB - though I'm sure he would rather be at a school where he can start immediately. I'm pretty annoyed because we could've had Stidham, and he would be attending classes right now.

If the staff is really desperate, there's always Ketchum

The only thing that would really piss me off about this (and I don't know who to be pissed at KM for saying he's coming no doubt about it and the coaches for not going after another QB because of it) is it's pretty shitty to give your word and then go back on it while knowing that they stopped looking because you gave said word.

So 4-star dual threat QB/athlete Kai Locksley just committed to Texas. He was committed to FSU. Timing seems weird.

That's the problem when you're dealing with kids instead of adults.

Hence why some good coaches just don't recruit. Dat Nguyen in particular left TAMU partly because he got sick of that aspect of the job.

Apparently the rumor is that Charlie promised him a starting job, too

Regardless of where KM ultimately ends up, I so want it to come out later that texas actually did pull some shady bribing shite. That would wound them nationally more than anything.

Verbal pledges aren't what they used to be. I would blame the staff more because they're supposed to be experienced recruiters who plan for things like this. This staff, in particular, apparently likes to sell the "you're our only guy" thing.

I think this Locksley commit could possibly shake everything up. For real. Kyler Murray could be confused as hell right now. Wouldn't surprise me.
