Ketch is claiming that Kyler will have a press conference next week to announce his commitment to the strong horns apparently. Going to be a long 2 weeks

Glad you got that and also glad that the new guy didn't.

Kyler committing to those count would mean no Mack either. That's what's so shitty. I could give a frick about any of the offensive players outside of Murray, but we need Mack and a couple cb's. Keep Murray, add Mack, then Boyd and Hill will follow wherever they go.
It's the same thing we've been doing the last couple years. It's a tidal wave of momentum that builds and is hard to stop once it gets going.
And to the people playing the UT's offense sucks card: our defense is just as bad to the outside world that recruits live in. If you question Murray for going to that offense, you have to question Mack for wanting to come to the A&M defense

The Merritt news is music to my ears
And the Kyler stuff? frick it....I can live with Allen if need be. Almost guaranteed we get a star or 2 in 2016 because there will be distance between him and the new guy. Very attractive for any QB coming in, imo.
I'm just wanting to close this class out with Mack, (or a quality DT), 2 good corners, Bussey (or another back), and Merritt. Offense is the least of our problems, honestly. I just want Chavis to get the tools he needs to put in place to stop the bleeding of a busted up defense.
Kyler defecting hurts (if he does) because we ran Hill off already anticipating his arrival and it does leave us with depth issues should that happen, but it's not a worst case scenario as long as we get the bodies on defense.

That's a whole new level of creep. That's creeping on a creep.
Seriously guys, just let Sumlin handle it. There's nothing we can change or do to affect the outcome of our recruiting class.

This all feels eerily similar to the days leading up to the jefferson announcement. There was such anticipation and hope for a few guys to name a&m, and we know how that played out. Like it has been said before, if murray commits somewhere else then you can forget about mack ending up here. The momentum will continue to snowball, and not in a&m's favor.
Murray is the kind of player I feel like could take us to the promised land. All he does is win. Manziel was that kind of player, but we didn't have the infrastructure in place to take advantage of his incredible gifts. With the hire if Chavis, the solid recruiting over the past few years, those recruits maturing over the next couple of years...it seems that we could very well have everything in place for an exceptional talent like murray to go all the way...and that's why this will crush me when he flips to texas.

This is what I don't get. Why does anybody think this might happen? It might, but I haven't seen anything to suggest that it will and I'll be very surprised if it does. The kid took a day off from school to go to Austin and be slobbered over along with Lodge. Oh, the horror. Who here wouldn't have done that if given the opportunity at 17-18 years old?
Meanwhile, Texags is locking threads and banning users as quickly as they can. Sheesh that place is a shitshow right now.

I'm preparing myself for another December 19th-like meltdown

I refuse to give Liucci anymore clicks. He disgusts me.

We might need to plastic-wrap this joint a la Dexter, just to be prepared

"I've been saying all along" is my favorite Liucci lie. He actually has some good stuff to say when he isn't struggling to cover his own arse, in my opinion. But in any case I don't visit the TA forums for him.
I'm all in on TBird's Dexter plastic wrap idea.

I don't melt but like I said earlier if he flips to the sips and takes some others with him I might just burn this sum bitch down

So... um, Kirk Merritt?

Nah, it more of a preemptive attempt to secure my sanity if he does flip. My expecting the worst hoping for the best mentality is a burden.
Watching games with me is a miserable experience. I'm the guy that at the first sign of trouble says shite like..."Welp, that's ballgame"
but to be fair I didnt really start caring about Aggie footbal until the beginning of the fran years. So I feel like some of my hang ups are warranted.
