I seriously doubt playing time is a problem. It's not like he'd be the first 5 star QB to redshirt.

If Allen wins the starting job and excels and Murray beats out Hill, Hill transfers. If Murray doesn't beat out Hill or Allen, Murray redshirts.

Everyone wants to compare him to Johnny Manziel...WHO REDSHIRTED...or Marcus Mariota...WHO REDSHIRTED...or Brett Hundley...WHO REDSHIRTED...or Jameis Winston...WHO REDSHIRTED...

There's a different kind of stupid on faggybevo. They're now posting that Kevin Murray was kicked off the team. He declared for the NFL draft, morons.

Waller is a top 50 guy, but it would still be a letdown. I'm not going to jump off a ledge if he verbals to Oregon, we could still flip him-- but the problem is that a lot of guys want to play with him simply put. It'll make it a lot harder to pull in some of the other top tier recruits if he doesn't pick us on the 28th. That's just my perspective. Honestly, I'm fine with Allen for 2-3 years anyway from a playing standpoint. And I know we need another body at QB, but it's just going to throw off the class if it isn't Kyler, imo.

But did he? How do we really know? I'm going to sink 100+ hours of my life is to searching through old newspaper archives. Then prove something that wasn't actually the topic at hand. BRB.

im really happy with Kyle Allen too. But were way too thin at QB, so its a must to land someone half decent at least. Murray is essential but not critical, imo. You dont recruit the #1 rated QB just to see him ride the bench. But..... we have standards, so whoever it may be... they gotta look at Manziel and go "This is your ceiling...now shoot higher."

Regardless of whether Joeckel stayed or not, we'd still only have 2 returning quarterbacks on the roster for 2015.

in general, following recruiting is fun, but you have to remember these are actual people. I'd just prefer to err on the side of respecting privacy in most cases. No big deal really. I don't know anything important here

I'm not going to ask for an email, either, because I'm sure whatever the reason Kyler is waivering is sure to piss me off.

I feel like I know around the same things that you do in regards to Kyler.

I don't think he commits, and I never really did. Which isn't a huge deal if allen is good, but like its been said, a lot of targets/commits want to play with Murray.

I also feel like Murray will end up being the better college qb than allen too. Which doesn't mean allen won't be good.

FYI, I'm basing all of this on nothing other than my gut. And I've been told my gut has shite for brains.

The bigger problem with losing Murray, if we do, is it seems like he's the linchpin of this 2015 class, not so much what he would bring at QB if Hill/Allen play well.

You keep hearing guys like Mack and Malik Jefferson talk about Murray, and I think Murray is that face of a recruiting class that you get behind
