Same. He hasn't shown much at all as a pass rusher. He looked his best when he was filling in as 3 technique.

We are gonna need to recruit a true NT for this scheme. Gooden can play that spot, but I think Tuttle is gonna have to move outside.
I think we're ok at DE and LB, but we need a space eater, a Ted Washington/Gilbert Brown type.

That's fair -- He's been pretty underwhelming given the hype that he had coming out of JC. I put some of that on Butch for not being able to develop players worth a damn too. I'm curious if they're going to try him at OLB and use him similar to what Ryan Anderson did at Bama. Let him play off the edge the majority of the time but still have the option to drop back into coverage. Similar to what Baltimore and Pittsburgh run with Bud Dupree and Terrell Suggs in their 3-4 defense. Obviously he hasn't shown that he's anywhere as close to being on those guys level, just trying to compare roles. Just guessing here though

im excited to see how this defense evolves under pruitt. Im not saying we are going to be great. But i think we will surprise some people this year. Finally a year no one is expecting anything from us, even our fanbase. We have more talent than is being let on to be.. i wouldnt be surprised if we got 8 wins. Id be stoked with 7, but estatic with 8 if we could pull it off
