From what's been posted, Martin popped off to Butch in a team meeting and said something about transferring. Butch called his bluff and signed the release papers in front of the team. Maggitt and JRM got into it with Martin too.

Did Butch have the papers in his pocket at the meeting or does he walk around with releases all the time just in case? No way it went down like that.

God damn. I saw on another board that he got into it with Butch but this is outrageous. I'm not saying I want him gone, but that is absolutely ridiculous to talk back to a coach about that. And good for leaders to stand up and back their coach. Signing his release in front of the team, I like that. And I am normally a proponent of handling business man to man, but that kid lost the chance of that when he stood up and confronted the coach.
Has this kid always been an attitude problem? shite like this can be cancerous to a locker room.

This sounds like nothing more than a typical in house manner that college football teams across the nation encounter. It's a shame this leaked as it is purely an in house matter. Seems like Butch and the team handled this properly and swiftly.

Seeing how this turned out, you're exactly right. A football family is like any family, they laugh and fight and argue. I wrongly assumed it was more significant than it was, though I think it might be something to keep an eye on in the future.
