The last time Lane Kiffin was a 17.5 point favorite at home against an SEC school

Just goes to show you even great coaches can only do so much at mediocre schools.

You know the spread accounts for mediocre teams. So blowing a game as a 17.5 point is bad no matter where you are

Another favorite 11 AM kickoff:
Wazzu almost wins as a 31.5 point dog on the road

Ole Miss fans taking shots at their own school in an attempt to drag Lane down is next level pathetic

I mean the coach is definitely part of the equation no one ever looked at Curley hallman lsu teams and said yeah basically the same as saban lsu teams.

I am no fortuneteller but in this case without their quarterback, I don’t see how Mississippi State can keep this one close.

Who is the great coach in this scenario? If Kiffin is going to be at LSU for more than 5 years it’ll be a case of a mediocre, at best, coach at a great school. LSU is historically better than Lane Kiffin in every metric. He may live up to the legacy of LSU winning nattys with not great head coaches but it’s doubtful. Coach O and Les Miles both had the good sense to get out of their own way….Kiffin is NEVER going to get out of his own way. He is a mediocre, at best, HC at an elite program….time will tell if it works but history suggests it won’t….

Thinking coach Miles and O got out is a bit of a stretch. They were removed.
