It's a fuggin joke to be playing E. Illinois today and bama should be called out for it.
You can play them at the beginning and make it appear you are better than you are or you can strategically use it to heal up later in the season. I would personally prefer the latter. It’s not like other conferences can’t do it. They just choose not to.

Obviously we know why the teams do it... and it probably doesn't matter to the fans of those teams.
But it is real simple... Having these dogshit games in November diminishes the entertainment value for the TV viewing public.
The SEC has always been careful to have a couple of competitive conference games through the month to offset the crappy games...
But it just a dud for people wanting to see high stakes November games.
