I don't know. Maybe.
But I can tell you that he did a lot to burn bridges there. He essentially took us out from getting others we could have gotten because we took his word that he was done.
He went against his parents' wishes as well.

the replay of Mateers fumble showed the receiver had a wide open path to the end zone...instead of 14-7, it's 21-0. Game over. But at least the play calling better than New Mexico...
