We’ve literally beat Louisville the last 4 times we played them with some crappy teams. Once with their Heisman QB and we didn’t even have a head coach in that game. Don’t try to pump Louisville up.

It's the emblem of the WWII unit "The Flying Tigers" that fought the Japanese in China.
ULM's mascot is homage to the P-40 "Warhawk" fighters flown by the unit. The commander was General Chennault who grew up near Monroe.

Most welcome. He was born in East Texas, but family moved to NE Louisiana when he was really young.
After the war he returned to Monroe. His widow lived around the corner from us. His granddaughter has done a GREAT job with the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum here.
