Pete Golding was the weakest assistant he had at Ole Miss. Just think about that Ole Miss fans. There's a reason he wasn't invited to join Kiffin at LSU. Simply not good enough to even be DC, never mind a head coach.

Defense at Alabama has not been the problem. Pete Golding has always been a poor DC and I doubt he will be a better head coach.

Clemson was in the CFP 2 years ago and yes I know how their season went but they were a preseason NC favorite last year.
He hasn’t adapted but this is something entirely else

Saban liked his defensive IQ, but it didn't translate to the players.
It would have been worse if bama didn't have really good players.
