SCar was in a difficult situation after last season. They were a play away from making the CFP and Beamer had just beaten a quality Clemson team again on the road. The extension made sense at the time.

And this season should've been a fireable offense.

Well so far the pattern under Beamer has been

2022 good season
2023 bad season
2024 good season
2025 bad season

So 2026 should be a good season.

Vandy has a lot of age and experience on their roster. The trick will be to see if they can get the right players in place to maintain this level of success.

I don’t. We beat Vanderbilt last season and this one plus we finished ahead of them in the conference standings both seasons.

The only thing that would give me a modicum of respect for Beamer at this point is if he took a voluntary pay cut. He's laughing his arse off to the bank, though.

Close losses are the hallmark of Gamecock football history, and our fans eat that shite up

Not me. But it is a way to cope with disappointment. That doesn't mean I approve of it. However crying about the losses or our fans doesn't help either.

Look, I'm the first to admit I play a persona on here. Its mostly me, but there is definitely hyperbole, both positive and negative, sprinkled in there. Sometimes I'm intentionally over the top and unreasonable in my responses, but that's the character I'm playing at this point. But one thing I do not exaggerated is my hope and desire for the best results for our shared team week in and week out.

Things are bad, but I'd rather focus on the positive and where SC can improve.

I'm just venting. I will always be a Gamecock fan. But I was serious in my thread yesterday about deserving a better run NFL franchise. frick the Falcons.

Taking applications.

I hear you. It's a curse, but they're our team. And always will be.

You know what's a bummer? Being a fricking women's basketball school.

Well we don't know anything about that. Is that not a club sport?

Everyone in the SEC has surpassed us in football. It is so bad that Mizzou has the only fans that actually get enjoyment from beating us. Most folks just offer condolences.
