They would have taken the job in a heartbeat.
And both are better coaches than Silvershit.

There are at least 5 HS coaches in Arkansas that are light years ahead of Silverfield

I mean... we know this. Also could've had Golesh in this cycle, and Kiffin before he went to OM for less than a million dollars more per year.
That's why we desperately want our AD fired, he doesn't fundraise and has continued to screw the pooch with football hires by refusing to negotiate. The money was there to easily outbid OM for Kiffin and the admin approved the increased salary offer, then he personally chose to not pursue it due to refusing to negotiate with Sexton.
Similarly he had Golesh on board until it was leaked early and Golesh didn't like that, so he took less money from Auburn. Yurachek didn't even try to right the wrong because he had his personal choice in Silverfield still in his pocket.
He's completely fricked up relationships with several big boosters that refuse to give money anymore, almost refuses to fundraise and relies on the coaches themselves to do so, was late to the party on NIL and fought it up until recently, is terrified of getting into any sort of bidding war over coaches, fricked up our stadium naming rights, on and on...
He should've been fired years ago. The only good news is that it looks like it's coming soon

I think he was interviewed but fizzled out pretty quickly when UK came calling. He was born in Kentucky, his dad played at UK, and he grew up a UK fan; he is pretty much their Houston Nutt. He was always going to end up there if they wanted him
