Jimbo had the chance to take him last year and passed. He doesn't need him or want him with both Weigman and Holstein already lined up.

He will go to Texas Tech believe it or not. Over Texas, too.
Too many QB related connections with Tech so be very suprised if he doesn't land in Lubbock.
I kinda wish Jimbo would be willing to go after him but understand the "drama" related concern. I would be about letting the 3 best young QBs fight it out for the future starting role. Really the biggest piece left for Jimbo to put into place. Doubt after OSU that Ewers is looking to have to compete for the position. Regardless, I think Ewers will be an overrated bust to a degree but who knows maybe he lives up to his "potential".

First, I think with King as QB this year we would have been better if for no other reason he doesn't have two left feet. That said, lets say King doesn't live up to the hype, we have a hell of a QB coming in with this class and he has great relationships with the other recruits committed to A&M. Wouldn't be a good look a week before signing day to take another QB. That might cause Weigman and other recruits to open it back up and look for other options. In my opinion it would be absolutely stupid for A&M to take him as a transfer.

Fisher will roll with Weigman. Could not care less about the headaches that Ewers brings
