Sure. But he was in COVID protocol twice and struggled because of an injury.
Sucks Tennessee was the only school that had to deal with covid.

Not really. We didn't go after Morris. We are loaded on the OLine. What some Georgia fans have been saying isn't sour grapes.
There is not doubt or arguing that Morris struggled mightily this past season. As I said earlier, I think it was his coaching. Will Friend has been struggling for whatever reason in the coaching department.
If wherever he goes has a capable OLine coach he should be fine. Might not be able to make him 5* caliber, but fine, nonetheless.
Knowing our luck he'll have a standout year and be the first OT taken likely top 5. Friend was not a good coach for us, but there is some info leaking that alot of that can be attributed to Pruitt. Stories coming out from within the program that Pruitt liked to do things to make a point. One of those was cross training the linemen. Friend pushed back against Pruitt against that more or less b/c he didn't feel as though our guys were ready for that at the time. Pruitt "triple cross trained" the OL, this was his first year and right before the first game... West Virginia. That's from a message board so obviously take it fwiw and believe it if you want, but the post was full of very detailed information that at least makes it seem believable.
I think Wanya will be fine, and like I mentioned above, knowing our luck he'll be wildly successful, but at least it won't be in the SEC and potentially against us on a reg season Saturday.

Unless some kids are willing to sit for a year, the UT transfers will likely look out of conference unless they change the sec transfer rule.

That rule is over with per Cade Mays. Speaking of, is Cade The dumbest kid in the world?

There's some smoke that Wanya might back out of the OU transfer and return to Knoxville

Didn't want to start a new thread so I'll bump this one. Looks like he may not be eligible. Any news, Boomers?

Any reason for why he might not be eligible?

Don’t remember that being an issue for him. Maybe he stopped going to class last fall.

He's practicing. He was injured in the spring and had a surgery this offseason. He'll hopefully be starting by conference play.

So, as far as you know....no grade issues?
I kind of hate it when people begin speculating, because all kinds of false things can be said (as speculation) and then after a while people accept it as fact. I don't think people that speculate mean harm, but when something is not known it is usually best left unsaid.
