Ewers is ranked #1 in 247 non composite for 2022. JT is #1 in 2021 if we get him. I don't know what the frick he's talking about other than that. Either way they're very highly ranked players and Ohio State could land 5 of the top 11 in 2021 out of the top 247 which is unreal to me.
Honestly, I don't really pay that poster much attention.
No doubt getting Ewers is a coup, and there is no argument that Ohio State is elite on the field and recruiting. I guess I am just so used to going by the composite I automatically go there. It should have occurred to me that he might not be going by composite.
Thanks for clarifying.

I'm with you. Use to be composite was the measuring stick. Now it seems a lot of recruitniks just go by whichever has their guys ranked higher. Remember one school in particular all they ever mentioned was composite. Nothing else mattered. Not so much anymore. That was back in the day when they had #1 class about 10 years in a row.

Composite is pretty much my go to. mainly because they a have something different, and some can be wildly different in opinion. Composite being an average seems like it might be the most accurate as far as an overall class, but certainly for individual players one service has to be more accurate than others.....of course which one is most accurate could change from player to player.

I agree on composite. It helps to alleviate some of the regional biases.

Uh, I assume you are talking about Alabama here.
Who from our fan base hasn't referenced the Composite when discussing rankings?

The one I remember the most is bama poster claiming BJT being the #2 WR in the country. He sticks out to me because he is from LA. I have seen others use the rivals player ranking because said player was ranked higher there than composite.

He probably was the #2 WR in the Composite at that time.

Regardless, most of us on the Alabama board prefer Xavier Worthy over BJT to fill our last WR spot in this class.

No he wasn't. He was listed about exactly where he is now.

Is Worthy decommitted yet?

I don't think so. Alabama is on him and at one time I know Georgia was trying to flip him. I have not seen much on him lately, though.

His parents were really high on Michigan. I imagine that could change. Bama’s WR are filthy and they don’t need anymore, lol.

bross mom chu!!!
He was listed about exactly where he is now on composite when the bama nation proclaimed him #2 WR in the class. He's no where near #2 on composite now. Is he?

You missed his point, I think.
I think this wording is what he was talking about. Something can't be "about exactly" anything. It is either "about" or it is "exactly".
