Per NCAA Bylaws, if a player enters the transfer portal the school may discontinue his scholly regardless of whether he ends up transfering to another school.

Saw a few rumors on Twitter the announcement is coming. No confirmed sources though. It would make sense though. I'd be shocked if we didnt grab him.

If a guy enters the portal, it means he's seeking to transfer from the team and the school. How do you figure he's getting kicked off the team? He's actually quitting the team and school after they've invested in him as a player and student. The program simply wants to free up his counter spot to award a scholarship to a replacement player. That's not unfair.

What about kids kicking the schools to the curb? I get that kids make mistakes. I also get that sometimes kids want to be closer to home.
But when you are an adult, you sometimes have to live with your own poor decisions. Correct them if you can. live with them if you can't correct them.
