Never heard of NIL deals having buyouts. I would think that would require a signed salary agreement.

If true, it would have to be something like you suggest.

NIL deals are best thought of as a contract between a service buyer (for use of the underlying name, image, and/or likeness) and a service provider (the athlete).

I suppose in that contract could be what's known as a "clawback" in some executive compensation arrangements i.e. the company pays a bonus to the exec with the provision he stays at the company three more years. If he leaves early he must pay back some or all of the bonus.

If such a clause exists in a particular NIL contract, of course the succeeding team will have to consider that in their NIL offer.

Frankly, sounds like a smart clause to have.

This could very well be the case, and don’t rule out the Cardinals and Blues currently in down periods as another possibility too.

Walter Nolen allegedly had a $1 million buyout and that’s why UGA didn’t get involved before he went to Ole Miss.

You surely are not suggesting mizz is on the way up and uga on the way down.

If so you have discredited your value to this board

UGA is not going anywhere and mizz will sit where they always have....middle of the sec.

Enjoy the crumbs from our table
