Committed to UF over UCF and Tennessee.

Big time get for Mike White in the front court.

quote:

Mike White and the Gators have landed a big catch in the 2019 recruiting cycle. Jason Jitoboh announced his commitment to Florida in a ceremony at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Jitoboh is a 6’11, 270 lb force down low that has been missing for much of Mike White’s first four seasons.

Jitoboh is ranked by 247Sports composite rankings as the #255 overall recruit in the nation and the #48 center in the 2019 cycle.

Good player, don’t think we had room for him unless he went a year of prep and reclassified for 2020.

Hamilton Heights is absolutely loaded with talent right now

Yep. With the transfers and injury history in the front court, this is a great pickup for UF.

Still have 3 scholarships open for 2019. Guessing that White will look for 1 more pickup in this cycle, then go the grad transfer route.

UF needed another big, good pickup to fill that. Still some room left too.

This is a great get. UF needed size in this class. He will provide depth next year.

Depends on his recovery from his foot injury.

Given the two front court players returning (Stokes, Bassett), if Jitoboh can give ANYTHING, he will get minutes.

UF is so thin at center that he will play if he is healthy. The other options have a lot of questions.

This guy isn’t very good. Role player at best in year 3 and 4.

He was begging to come to UT but we technically don’t have room for him - but we will after Kent transfers out. Barnes didn’t seem interested since Kessler was a potential option if he reclassified.

Having said that I would probably take him over Derrick Walker as I don’t see him ever panning out.

He's definitely not a guy that should be expected to contribute early. Prime redshirt candidate

4 star

Wut? According to who?

6’11, 270 lb force

At that size, he is unplayable vs any fast pace team with pacing

Good luck getting him minutes vs Auburn or Bama w OatzNhoes

ESPN has him as one of their many unranked 4-stars, but, yeah, real talk, he's not a four-star

Jitoboh certainly shouldn't be expected to provide anything next year but at the same point, our bigs right now are Bassett, Stokes, Gak, and Payne

Jitoboh reminds me a bit of freshman Gak. He's got terrific size and decent mobility but isn't exactly explosive and seems a bit uncoordinated. Jitoboh has more skill development than Gak, though

good get. We(SLU)thought we had him locked up a few months back, sucks because he really need that big body next year.
