He'll have competition at all three of his favorite schools. Fromm doesn't scare him.

Every team recruiting Lawrence has elite QB's ahead of him. Competition will not be a factor in his recruitment.

Martell to OSU
Emory to UT??
Lawrence to UGA??

Let the dominoes fall.

That seems realistic to me. Things have changed and I do not believe VOLS are the team to beat for Lawrence atm

It seems like UT is recruiting Jones harder than Lawrence. I guess they like him more. I just hope we can fend off Clemson.

This isn't sour grapes or anything but I feel like maybe Emory is a better fit for Tennessee's offense and Georgia's more traditional, pro style is a better fit for Lawrence's talent. Just my $.02

I agree that it does seem like Butch has been after Jones much harder recently

I agree with you. Although I've seen Lawrence play several games and he could run UT's offense successfully. He'll need to gain some weight to take the hits running the ball though.

I agree with that statement. I'm biased but I do believe that of all the schools recruiting him, Georgia is the best offense for his skill-set.

I heard some rumors Lawrence really likes UF...tell me that isn't true.

I think so too but I still believe he would be better suited in a more pass happy, down the field offense like Georgia's could be.

Does Lawrence have a good enough set of wheels to really make defenses pay in the read option? I ask because Tennessee's offense was downright terrible in 2013 and the first half of 2014 with Worley and Peterman under center (yes, I know they are nowhere as good as TL). Tennessee couldn't run the ball for shite because Worley and Peterman could not make teams pay on the ground and they basically pinned their ears back and zeroed in on Hurd every play. Insert Josh Dobbs into the lineup again Alabama and all of a sudden Tennessee started running the ball over everyone and basically has ever since.

So yeah, I'm a little skeptical of how effective and one dimensional Tennessee's offense will be without a superior athlete at QB.

He's a legit threat to run. He's not going to out run everyone though. He kind of reminds me of Russel Wilson in that he has a knack of escaping the pocket and can extend plays and can be useful in designed runs.

I haven't heard that. A couple of his HS coaches say UT and some others close to the situation say UGA. I now he's interested in them but they are a distant 4th.

UF got brought up because Lawrence said he wouldn't mind considering a spread-type offense.

Said in a rivals article that gators were in his top 3 but he wouldn't say who the other 2 were so he's probably blowing smoke. UF runs a pro-style offense with Mac, not spread

I’m still skeptical but can you imagine Eason, followed by Fromm and Lawrence at QB? Wow

Still worried about the Clemson visit this week, but if we can get through that, it looks good for UGA
