I would agree with UT being the favorite but you never know, he certainly has spoken highly of UGA's OC Chaney. With Eason on board and another probable 5 star in Fromm coming in the dawgs look to be loaded at the position but there will be competition where ever he lands. It looks to be a 3 horse race, I'm not sure if he is even considering anybody else. The #2 prospect for the 2018 class RB Zamir White out of NC is the guy I really want in Athens, he may be a better prospect than even Gurley coming out of that state.

I would make the Vols the favorites right now, but who knows what happens by the time he commits if Tennessee continues to underperform on the field.
I believe he's committing at the end of this summer. So I don't think they can underperform.

Both of those guys might end up being great players but Lawrence is in a league of his own. The issue is, if Eason is already established does he shy away from trying to take over an incumbent 5 star. Lawrence is an unreal player.

Like I said, I don't think the kid will be scared away by competition, even if Eason is The Truth, that wouldn't be the reason he doesn't sign with UGA.

Yup, he'll have competition where ever he goes. It's going to come down to the offense that he wants to play in.

Why? UGA has Fromm they're not getting Lawrence as well. I think Lawrence sticks with Tenn.

Because qbs never follow other good qbs? Especially a great one?

Not usually if they're in the same class and especially not with Eason getting there the year before. The kid has grown up a Tenn. fan. Gonna be tough to beat.

Plenty of kids grow up fans of certain schools and then attend other universities though. And no matter where he goes he's going to have competition. He knows that and has admitted that. But UGA has one thing in it's favor and that's our style of offense. He's state that the NFL is his goal and that our O and Bama's O might help his chances better than playing at UT.

He's visiting UGA this weekend.

In the end, I think we get Lawrence. A lot of that is gonna depend on how well we do this year, and what the offense looks like in 2017 without Dobbs, Hurd and Kamara.

It's two years away so no matter who he commits too they shouldn't feel too comfortable. I think a lot depends on where Dobbs gets drafted to show that your offense can put people in the pros. That's his goal and that's what UGA and UF are pushing to him.

Somebody will take a chance on Dobbs, maybe as TE or receiver. But Dobbs isn't an NFL QB, he's just not.
You can't really put much stock in where Dobbs gets drafted because he and Lawrence are completely different players.
ETA: And UGA might be able to sell him on getting QBS in the NFL, but UF sure as frick can't.

I think UF could be a factor in his recruitment if Del Rio looks good this year.
2018 is a long time away.

I'm sure Mac will sell him on his time at Bama and CSU.
I still think he lands at UT until I see him sign somewhere else.

Getting to the NFL yes, starting in the NFL no.

UF can also sell him on a future gig on GMA.

I think his parents would disown him if he signed with UF, I know I would.

Every time I start to disagree with you, you end up redeeming yourself.

I know you are joking...but I will say that I went to college with his parents. His dad was one of my fraternity brothers. Super nice people, and very smart. They both love Tennessee, but I think they all will look at whatever situation is going to be best for Trevor. I hate to say it, but Chaney's offense would be a great fit for him.

I also wonder how a less than stellar season from Butch Jones may effect his decision. One thing UT has going for them is that they are always stacked at WR.
