Do we think AU bought Cam ... hell yeah

Does the NCAA ... No

One of these got all of their information from evidence gathered during an investigation and interviews.

The other got their info from message board "insiders" who were repeatedly proven to be full of shite.

Hmmmm......

I suspect you'd have a pretty high affirmative response in the NCAA offices to the question "Do you believe auburn paid Cam Newton?"

But that doesn't always mean a program will be penalized. Maybe they truly didn't have sufficient evidence, or maybe there are other reasons. It certainly isn't the first time the college football world believed a program to be guilty but no penalties handed down.

The "Pot Meets Kettle" talk on here is absolutley hilarious. Schools accusing other schools of foul play. Newsflash, happens at every school in the SEC. Whether it is a booster slipping a couple hundred to a player in the bathroom at the bar to bigger incidents. If you believe otherwise you're living under a rock.

Motherfricking this.

joey, you are right that nobody has definitive proof. You win on that point.

But that doesn't imply that the NCAA believes auburn was innocent. Don't get carried away. Most people in Indianapolis and throughout the Big 10 believe that the SEC is one big collection of ignorant cheating rednecks whose very existence taints their sport.

Most people in Indianapolis I'll take your word for it. You act as if you've dealt with them on a personal level, so I'm sure you would know more about "most peoples" thoughts in the NCAA office in Indianapolis than anyone else on this site. Thanks for enlightening me. I don't like to make large quantitative comments about a group of peoples beliefs without actually experiencing them for myself. While I know every fanbase has their section of crazies, I rarely believe that the majority think that way. The crazies just have a way of making their thoughts more known.

I don't have a monopoly on the thought processes in Indianapolis, though I think it's fair to say that living here 10 years gives me a little more perspective on how people think. Anyone who hasn't spent a considerable amount of time among college football fans in the Midwest would usually be shocked at how deep their Southern stereotypes go...and similarly, anyone who hasn't actually lived in the Deep South, particularly Alabama or nearby, would have a hard time believing how many of the fans think.

All that being said, you cheated.
