Nolan Smith and Walker on the same D-Line should create some headaches especially with Adam Anderson and Brenton Cox coming on strong.

If we had to name a top performer of the week, it would probably come down to either Leal or Antonio Alfano. It was a strong group of defensive linemen in San Antonio this week, and Leal was at the top of that group. The Texas A&M signee has a powerful build that can battle with any offensive lineman, but we also saw an unusual level of athleticism from a player of his size. He was dominant all week in practices and he carried that over to the game, where he was constantly in the backfield.

After Nolan Smith had those 2 sacks his playing time was limited. Other guys got more reps.

Alfano is up to #7 overall in the Composite rankings. Travon Walker is #20 and DeMarvin Leal is #23.

And possibly still underrated. He is a monster.

Final ESPN has Charles Cross as the 84th ranked player?
Lol what a joke. Mississippi kids always get severly underrated by ESPN and Rivals.
ETA: Before anyone claims bias, ESPN has MSU's class at 18 nationally, higher than any other service.

ESPN is the worst service that rates these kids. Cross is a beast regardless of where he is ranked.

247 has Antonio Alfano ranked #1 overall in their final rankings.

If you saw the All American game Walker by far was the most dominant D-lineman,
Alfano just got bumped to #1 after his AA performance
