That is what I heard too (interest in Lsu). But I would be willing to bet he and the rest of the guys in the portal will at least consider taking their names out once the new coach is announced.

Looks like most of the team is staying, although there may be some NIL stuff to work out. Schott, who was rumored to be a package with Jace, just announced that he is staying. At this point, I expect Jace to stay at A&M, too.

Also, 1st basemen ASU transfer Matthew Bergevin has confirmed he is coming to A&M, despite the fact that Schloss got him to visit Austin and tried to get him to change his destination.
In short, it looks like all the A&M players and commits are telling Schloss to go frick himself.

Yep Schloss and CDC seriously damaged the sips reputation nationally. They now have to pitch with money bags. Most players are staying far, far away from Schloss.
What's great is how this backfired 100%. In fact with Longley joining our staff now (their best coach & recruiter), looks like 2 players are transferring to Aggieland. Schloss is trying his damnest to retain what he can from an existing roster that wasnt very good in 2024. They definitely have some studs...just underdeveloped.
And yes, looks like we will retain 90% of our starters not going to MLB. Kent is the biggest unknown but know his dad and mom loves Aggieland. Kent also hated Schloss but he is left sweeping the floors in Austin. Earley is the players dude for sure. See how he transitions as a HC. Lots of upside.
