Seems like a lot of weight on all star games.
That and 7on7 camps which is which what makes some of their drastic changes after these events absurd. They put more stock in to padless practice with no pass rush or hitting over 10+ games of tape.

How come 247 liked our players before early signing day, then once they signed with us, not so much?
247 is ran by referees.

I was certain A&M was going to be the Southwest recruiting champions this class. Texas & OU are closing in.
OU actually added some talent. Sips somehow doing so despite adding nobody. 247 cheerleading for the Texas class yet again ... big surprise

They had a low 3* TE go from 1400 ranked to around 800. This TE didn’t get some All Star practice improvement from 1/15 to 1/23. 100% to help their average.

Didn’t y’all say the same thing about them last year?

Obviously rankings are an good overall indicator of class strength, but we get way to hung up on individual star rating. It's still the same player. How does changing the kid's rating change a single thing about how he plays for your team?
I love Nolan Smith and Kevon Thibodeaux, but I think UT may be getting the best player in the class in 4* Quavaris Crouch, who will probably play as an outside rusher.
Of the 2018 CFB player award winners last year, there was exactly one 5*. There were three 3*s and two 2*s.

You spelled 5* DEMARVIN LEAL wrong.

Looks like we might add another 5*. Also the Aggie momentum seems to have died for Shepherd.

Travon Walker is much better than him. Much better.

Bru McCoy?

No. Jordan a wr that already signed that just got his 5th star back. He got hurt and lost it before last season. He really earned it back kid is legit. Rumors are also going around that Bru wants out at USC and wants to use a waiver to play for Texas next season but I'll believe that when I see it.

Do you have any info on that?

Leal was named the Alpha Dog twice and overall MVP of the AA bowl. Didn’t see Walker’s name once.

Go on the Texas boards. It's is a hot topic that Bru is seriously trying to transfer to Texas because Kingsbury left for a nfl hc gig.

If it were any other program, it would be tampering and illegal contact with a signed and enrolled player.
A similar situation happened with A&M about 12 years ago. Kellen Heard signed with Miami, then the following summer wanted out of his LOI. He ended up transferring to A&M and sitting out a year.

Bru was actually going to originally sign. But his parents convinced him to stay home and develop under Kingsbury. Kingsbury is gone now so he wants out. Had he waited until the 2nd signing day this could have been avoided. Just proves the early signing period needs to go away.

He didnt just sign...he ENROLLED. Charles Allan Wright isn't alive to save your arse this time.
Not only that, but trying this ensures that USC is a "no" vote when you try to join the PAC after the Big 12 fails.

This is why recruits need to understand that they aren't signing with the coaches. They're signing with the university.
