Ok. Laugh away.

Since no gumps are really disagreeing with me anymore, but just posting random irrelevant and rambling crap, it is time to move on.

Why all the booms for a stupid post about a guy either not physically or mentally able to play football anymore though?

Referring to Eric Mack who was purged from the roster so he wouldn't count against the 85

Plain and simple. He was taking up a roster spot that Gus wants to fill.

Interesting how you spin it when your own beloved university does exactly what Saban does.

Trash gonna trash....

Something tells me Mack is a heavy lineman and Gus likes lighter linemen that can pull. Processed.

Terrible example. That goes far beyond football and I cannot believe you felt the need to bring it up. Eric Mack clearly has scaring in his life due to the incident. There's a reason he took a year off last season, and it was not because he could not perform on the field. The poor guy probably just does not have it in his heart to play football. Auburn could have really used him, too.

Remember, Auburn still has Jake Holland on the team. Use a better example like Mike Blakely. He was not cut to make room for better players, but we was cut for a terrible attitude and not being fully into the football life.

So why did he not practice any all year last year when Gus was not the coach?

Gump ignorance is never-ending.

Look at all the gumps nodding their head in agreement and posting "boom" though.

I am serious, how can one fanbase be so dumb? It defies logic really.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever read. Eric was not expected to come back last year when he dropped from the team and started practicing. To say Gus cut him is simply nuts and false information.

It is like talking to a cat turd that talks back when you are conversing with gumps sometimes.

It really is. We can focus on players like Mike Blakely all day long. He did get processed and deservedly so. Eric Mack lived through a gut wrenching experience and watched 2 of his former teammates die, while also being shot. Gus Malzahn had no reason to process a guy that Auburn could actually use. The offensive line in a huge work in progress.

That sounds like an excuse we would make and you would deny as poppycock.

So why are you surprised when we say we don't buy Gus Malzahn's reasoning for one second?

Are you really serious? Really? C'mon man, they are both fine universities - with a good history of athletics. Geez, Bama, since Saban's arrival, have great graduation rates and have a very high percentage of Academic All-SEC and All-Americans. Doesn't really sound like the evil empire. The guy is just a great coach and an outstanding manager/organizer.

I was laughing at this thread . . . now it is just sad.

Are you being intentionally dense? Eric Mack was struggling with being shot as well as watching some of his friends being killed. He was also struggling with personal issues before he got to Auburn, hence his weight issue the first year.

You could make an argument with some players in Auburn's recent past but Eric is not one of them. All teams do it to some extent but Saban has taken it to a new level.

To get back on track with the thread it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Most people I trust claimed last night the incident happened, a few today are saying it didn't.

I'm not concerned at this point, either he will or won't be an Auburn tiger. We should still finish fairly strong, especially for a short class.

Shaun Dion Hamilton said he hung out with Reuben all night and didn't see anything go down. Was surprised he to hear he left.
