It's on page 3. Looks like it was started by a BAMA fan. Hold on and I'll link it. I haven't read the thread.

LOL, so why in the hell did you even respond to my post saying no bunch of LSU fans paraded around claiming we were the leader for Kiel?

Because I occasionally make an arse out of u-m-e.

ETA: in my defense, there was a guy in there saying if he signed with LSU, the BCS should just give LSU the next four crystal balls, because they would be unstoppable.

Under the old CBA, you may be right. However, the new CBA makes your point stupid.

The new CBA doesn't totally prevent teams from giving the money they want to give, just penalizes them.

Well at least this thread didn't morph into a rematch 9-6 thread.

Yes I did. I said there was a Kiel to LSU thread a week or two before he signed. I presented you with the thread.

I think Mark May borrowed his suit from Sheldon Cooper.

Why doesn't your OP include Deon Bush?

Because he's not committed to Auburn yet.

Interesting, the SEC allows only 25 recruits signed per year. Y'all already have 24 commitments. I love Alabama math...LOL

You obviously have no clue of how the system works. We gave several slots that were backcounted from last year. We are allowed to sign 28 this year.

Your statement appears to be inaccurate. I say appears because Alabama does not publish scholarship information.Alabama had 22 LOIs in 2011. You will recall that Duron Carter was a late addition to the class in the fall(23). There were also two greyshirts from 2010, Ronald Carswell and Russell Love, bringing the total for 2011 to 25.

Aaron Douglas has tragically passed away. Ronald Carswell has been suspended from the football team. Bama has two slots for back counters, probably Dixon and Belue. That leaves 25 scholarships for 2012, or 27 total commitments. Bama is at 24 presently.

In order to sign those 5 prospects 2 additional slots will have to open by greyshirt or academic casualty (nonqualifiers).

My information could be inaccurate if any of the 23 commits are not on scholarship (Duron Carter) or if any of this year's class is paying their own way.

Deion Belue took Bush's spot. Belue's return ability alone make him worth a scholarship.

But, dude, he was such a LOCK to Bama a couple months ago, while Auburn was "out of the race"...

pretty accurate

The only one I am unsure about right now is Jenkins & it is only since I've heard conflicting reports. But, FWIW Bama lead for a VERY long time for JJ & the staff still feels pretty confident.

Since my last long post on each situation or prospect, I'm pretty much sure Bama lands with Goldman, Winston, & Collins.

I posted the situation on Cyrus Jones as well, wanted to commit already until a spot opened up to do it at UA game, and I don't care whether or not he is a 5* or 2*, he is a SICK athlete & a great addition at WR.

And again, conflicting on JJ, actually reaks of last year's situation with the staff feeling uber confident on Malcolm Mitchell & him picking UGA, but he STILL could pick Bama.

But those 4 are locks now, Va Tech lost on C.Jones, LSU lost on Collins & yes his GF will be enrolling at Bama, thanks to C.Jones & Bama adding A. Taylor, gave Bama considerable lead over FSU for Goldman, and Winston has been a done deal since AL/Miss all star game.

Hope this clears up any questions.

Recruiting is fluid. A few months ago no one envisioned Deion Belue in Alabama's class. Now, he is. For comparison look at Alphonse Taylor and Daniel McCullers. For months Alabama led for McCullers, then Taylor decommitted from FSU and committed to Bama. Now, McCullers doesn't have a spot. Same with Bush. He simply waited too long.

We have not!

Not even his Hs coach knows so I doubt in every way possible you do. That's info from Diggs who is also a HS coach in LA.

I'm just saying, man...try not to create another alter to call me out about Deon Bush

He has never been a lock to Auburn or Bama, but has always favored Auburn. We've lead for him for months now. I don't see that changing, and I expect him to sign with Auburn in the end. Could change, but we will see.
