Even with a loaded group of quarterbacks, Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist quarterback Shea Patterson had the best day on Saturday and it wasn't close. Patterson even wowed the college counselors on hand and showed why he's rated a top 10 player nationally and the No. 1 QB in the country.

Felipe Franks was the only other SEC related QB I saw.

Is this where Franks threw a ball 78 yds?

Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla quarterback Feleipe Franks is a tall, strong armed quarterback who got better as the camp went on. He can be a little deliberate at times and when he doesn't set his feet, his ball tends to sail on him but his upside is obvious. He has a smooth, easy throwing motion and can change speeds as well. Franks has a big personality and is a natural leader as well

Good: Patterson was clearly head and shoulders better than every quarterback at the Steve Clarkson Dream Makers QB Retreat on Saturday in San Diego. The only quarterback who was in the same ballpark was 2017 four-star Tate Martell. Both went through drills at top-end speed but Patterson was the smoothest, most-polished quarterback at the event.

Right behind Patterson was Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman '17 athlete Tate Martell. Like Patterson, Martell is a highly competitive kid and always practices like he's playing in a championship game. His mobility has been well documented but he doesn't get enough credit for his arm strength.

Patterson will be a good one no doubt about it. I am very excited to get Franks on board over here.

Should be a good battle for the #1 spot. I still think Eason keeps it though.

Franks v. Patterson will be a fun quarterback duel to watch for 3-4 years

I know. You just never know with these things. Like last year when one service bumped McKenzie in front of Thompson despite the fact that he didn't play a down last year.

This i cant agree with more, i think both schools are getting the exact QBs they want for their offenses.

Completely agree. We prefer to have more talented QB's run our offense and LSU needs another quarterback on the roster to blame.

Both teams win here.
