I don't think he was trolling.
By all accounts LSU was very complacent in recruiting him and assumed he was Baton Rouge bound.
Alabama pushed harder than anyone thought possible and Sage liked it. He is a LSU fan so he made an announcement to commit in 5 days to see if they ramped up their efforts to land him. They did.
He seems like a good kid. I like watching these kids get emotional and realize how lucky they are.
Best of luck to him and a great get for LSU.

Think you're right. Many recruits are influenced by family, but you can tell that he and his family are ridiculously close. They definitely pushed him over the line.

That’s probably a fair assessment, although I’m not sure if it was LSU getting complacent or just seeing the defense struggle and Saban putting the full court press on him. Either way, glad to see him stay home.

It’s like y’all just forget Orgeron is the best closer in college football. The only man in college football that can consistently go head to head with Saban and win.
