Give me a frickin break. Most everyone is giving you guys a hard time out of fun. It is quite easy you know. Had this been an Auburn story hunter would have started the thread, and we would have had 30 pages already and going strong.
You bama fans are quite sensitive this a.m.

See you get it. See my earlier post. That is all I would post in a thread like this over and over again.

How many greyshirts has Saban denied?
Saban will screw the kid over. Just you wait. Now greyshirt means he's enrolling and the kid is NOT enrolling. He just becomes another recruit. He has nothing from Saban. Saban won't offer him a scholarship next year.
He said I’m going to stay in Georgia. They are going to find me a job. I’m going to work. I’m going to physical therapy at least seven days per week. I guess I will work, go to physical therapy and get strong … I will come in with the class of 2013. I’ll get there with the early group so I can do winter workouts and spring football.”

On their own dime if they wish, but they don't sign scholarship papers or join the team until the following January.

Yea, Saban is begging this 3 star grayshirt to stay with Bama.

Oh you know what I need to watch that again. It has been so long since I have seen that. So you got me there. To be honest I am worthless in remembering great lines of movies even if I saw it yesterday.

Greyshirt is not an official term, so there is no standard definition of it. The NCAA rule books don't use the term. However, it is most commonly used to describe a recruit that enrolls in school and pays his own way for a semester due to scholarship limits and then gets a scholarship the following semester.
A greyshirt is a greyshirt whether the kid enrolls on his own dime for a semester or not. Either way, the kid defers signing a scholarship until the following semester.

Yes, if what this kid says is true, Alabama and Nick Saban are flying right in the face of numerous NCAA violations. However, I have a hard time believing what he is saying because it is a blatant disregard for NCAA rules.
This. If Saban is going to risk putting his program and legacy in the NCAA banhammer, it is not going to be for some low rent 3 star running back we can't even make room for on our roster. Some of you need to turn your common sense switch on.

What was the kid's name that had enrolled and moved into the dorms at LSU when Miles called him to his office and told him to pack up his shite because he no longer had a scholarship?

Dont listen to the people who think they know the rules. I posted the actual rule on the previous page.

Yea, Saban is begging this 3 star grayshirt to stay with Bama. We don't grayshirt kids we don't want to lose. We grayshirt kids when we ended up with more and better commits than we originally thought. Our best hope is that this kid gets the picture and moves on to a school who wants him more than we do. But nevertheless, we are giving him a spot if he still wants
List your greyshirts the past 4 years. How many have been Processed already ? Saban culls his roster, if you do not work out , he cuts you. That is why he has the biggest advantage in College Football. If you oversign 5 players per year and cut to make room for them, that reduces your odds of making a poor evaluations by 20% per class. Teams like Ole Miss oversign due to grades, Alabama oversigns to increase the selection pool.
