In fact, he said they're the only schools he's considering. I know this is common knowledge, but this is the first I've heard it from Ricky himself.
Info from a premium site so no link.
He'll be an Aggie.

I like how you totally rely on an article to give you this information and the follow it up with a conclusory statement about something you have no clue about. He may be an aggie but you sure as hell don't know.

It was a video interview.
And of course he didn't say he's going to A&M. He did say he's only considering LSU/TAMU.
Look, if the kid played any position but WR, I wouldn't speak in conclusory terms.

You left out the part about how he's visiting LSU for the bama game. Our coaches are selling him hard on the fact that we're missing a big tall #1 receiver, something he sounded excited about becoming at LSU. He also didn't sound too sold on A&M's gametime atmosphere, which will be blown away by Tiger Stadium at night.
A&M probably does have the lead following his visit, be he's nowhere near a lock.

Indeed, he's going to BR for LSU/BAMA.
And I agree Death Valley will be a more hostile sight. But perhaps Rick's idea of a great atmosphere isn't measured by how many fans he can count puking in a 30 second timeframe.
Joking.
We'll see. I don't think Ricky will have much to analyze regarding LSU's offense next weekend. That bodes well for us.

He must have enjoyed throwing the ball 56 times for 4.9 per attempt, 3 picks, and a loss.

you aren't seriously comparing passing games as why he'll go to LSU

I don't think the fact he's a receiver makes him an aTm lock.

RSJ plays a lot of quarterback at Sealy. He's at least as good as Jordan Jefferson at that position.

Why do you think that affects me? We just beat you. We have one loss. We still control our fate in the conference. Your little quip doesn't affect me.

That's the entire point. I wasn't going to go tit for tat on this, but Manziel's deep ball looks a lot worse that Mett's. We don't have a legitimate deep threat at reciever that can highpoint and beat a 6' CB. When Mett goes deep, more often than not it's really just a throwaway because our smaller recivers are already tangled up before he releases. We've seen in open practices and the spring game, where the recievers weren't getting pushed around as much, that Mett's best passes are deep down the field. It doesn't take a clever coaching staff to point out that if a big physical reciever can avoid being jammed and then beat man coverage, our verticle passing game is a whole different story.

not saying he's a lock at all but the idea that your staff would use our passing stats against him is rather silly. Chances are pretty good your staff is not selling your current passing game

Selling him on a dire need we have and lack is a pretty good selling point. At the end of the day, he wanted one of the teams to win last week. That team will get him. I dont presume to know who that is.

And it doesn't take a clever coaching staff to point out that JM is 7 games into his career and will only get better.
I don't think LSU should attempt to rationalize its perennially dormant passing game.
LSU's best strategy is pushing program prestige.

Not saying Manziel throws the ball well down the field because he doesn't, but if Mett could throw a passable deep ball you would have beaten us by 3 TDs. He looked horrendous throwing the ball deep and missing wide open WRs all over the field.
If RSJ is judging this by QB play and the offense then it would be a no brainer decision. He isn't judging strictly by those things, thus why it will probably come down to the wire.

I bet he chooses LSU. I heard his favorite thing to do is be overthrown and block down field for three plays until he sits on the bench.
Speaks volumes about his laziness

If he's blocking downfield for 3 plays and then sitting, how can he be overthrown? Does LSU go for it on fourth down every drive now?

To an elite WR, what would be appealing about A&M's offense?

You can do better. Or at least put some effort into it.
But because the opportunity presented itself, I'll answer with "ask Kyrion Parker."
